Umberto Eco

Umberto Eco (1932–2016) was an Italian medievalist, semiotician, novelist, and cultural critic. He is the author of numerous works of criticism and literature, including A Theory of Semiotics, The Name of the Rose, and Foucault’s Pendulum.
